Welcome to Northnote Music School!
We are two supportive, patient and enthusiastic instrumental music teachers, currently travelling to homes across the Inner North area of Melbourne, delivering music lessons to adults, teenagers and kids.
Lessons are individually catered and age-appropriate.
Guitar, Singing, Piano, Bass Guitar and Drum lessons are currently available. Also, we are both passionate about songwriting, composing and recording music, and these can also be included as part of any students learning program.
Music Exams are available, but not essential, and in some cases not suitable. We are happy to discuss exam options with you.
Genres taught: Pop, Classical, Rock, Jazz, and many more.
Meet Dave and Kristen!
Dave is a 35 year old guitar, bass guitar, piano and drum tutor with 17 years of teaching experience in a range of school and private settings. He believes that having fun enhances music lessons, and that better learning happens when everyone’s feeling good! Dave provides students with structured learning but also adapts lessons and homework to each individuals’ goals and personalities. Dave completed a Bachelor of Music (First Class Honours) from Melbourne Conservatorium in 2021.
Kristen has 11 years of experience teaching singing, piano, guitar, and bass guitar at various music schools in Sydney and Melbourne. She provides a warm and supportive learning environment, and is comfortable working with students of all ages. Kristen completed an Advanced Diploma in Music in 2013, and has completed Guild singing exams up to Grade Eight (final exam).
